Air Berlin increases share in NIKI
Air Berlin has announced an increase in its share in NIKI Luftfahrt.
The company has indirectly acquired 25.9 per cent of the shares of NIKI from the Privatstiftung Lauda (private Lauda foundation) and has thereby increased its current share from 24 to 49.9 per cent. The purchase price for the shares is €21m. In connection with the increase of its share, Air Berlin will grant the Lauda foundation a €40.5m loan. The foundation has the option to repay the loan in three years, either in cash, or through the transfer of the remaining 50.1 per cent of NIKI shares. ($1 = €0.80)
