Airbus acquires Satair
Airbus has acquired a 96.7 per cent stake in Satair, a Danish aviation MRO and parts supplier.
The deal was closed at DKK580 ($106) per share. The OEM explained in a statement that “the acquisition of Satair will help Airbus to strengthen its service business”, adding that this is a “key element” of its parent company EADS’ development plans. Airbus has said it intends to acquire all of the remaining shares and to delist Satair from the NASDAQ, Copenhagen.
