AmSafe acquired by TransDigm
TransDigm Group has reached a definitive agreement to purchase AmSafe Global Holdings, a supplier of aerospace safety and restraint equipment.
The total purchase price is approximately $750m. According to TransDigm, the price includes substantial tax benefits, to be realised in 2012 and beyond. TransDigm expects to finance the acquisition through a combination of new senior bank debt and cash and says it has obtained commitments for the full amount of financing to execute this transaction.
