Asiana rating upgraded again
Asiana Airlines’ corporate bond credit rating has been upgraded from BBB to BBB+ by three Korean credit rating agencies.
The airline’s rating has steadily improved since 2005, with National Information & Credit Evaluation, Korea Ratings Corporation, and Korea Information Service providing the latest acknowledgement. “With this improvement we are now able to obtain funds which could lower interest rates, and by issuing long-term bonds we are able to improve our loan structure and improve liquidity,” said an Asiana spokesman.
