Avolon $300m equity commitment secures
Aircraft leasing company Avolon has secured a $300m equity commitment from the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), its third round of equity capital.
Avolon said the proceeds will be used for the continued growth of its aircraft fleet; it has commitments for 88 aircraft and has a target fleet size of 150 aircraft by 2014. The lessor has raised a total of $1.4bn in equity capital over the past 18 months from GIC, Cinven, CVC Capital Partners and Oak Hill Capital Partners.
