Brazilian biofuel alliance forms

An aviation biofuel alliance has formed in Brazil.

The group’s objective is to promote public and private initiatives that seek to develop and certify sustainable biofuels for aviation. The Brazilian Alliance for Aviation Biofuels (Aliança Brasileira para Biocombustíveis de Aviação – ABRABA) includes 10 organisations: Algae Biotechnology, Amyris Brazil, the Brazilian Association of Jatropha Producers, the Brazilian Aerospace Industry Association, Azul Brazilian Airlines, Embraer, GOL Airlines, TAM Airlines, TRIP Airlines, and the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association. Other organisations are expected to join ABRABA in the near future.
