Lufthansa Consulting helps Aviastar-TU comply with EU ETS
Aviastar-TU has sought the assistance of Lufthansa Consulting (LCG) as part of the airline’s efforts to comply with the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS0. The most immediate concern for the airline is the verification audit at the end of this year/beginning of 2011. LCG has so far reviewed the monitoring plans submitted by Aviastar-TU, as well as operations manuals and relevant organisational charts. Existing processes at Aviastar-TU were examined for ETS conformity; databases and IT systems were compared with those reported in the monitoring plans. LCG identified gaps in an open items list and delivered recommendations on how to close them.
